Staff and pupils from a top independent school in the Cotswolds are celebrating after a very positive inspection report.
Kitebrook Preparatory School, located just outside Moreton-in-Marsh, has had commendation for their pupils’ “outstanding communication skills” and for making “excellent contributions to the lives of others.” The inspectors also celebrated their staff, who “actively promote the well-being of pupils”, while children display “high levels of self-confidence and self-esteem”. “Creativity, initiative and independent work” is encouraged, ensuring that “all ages and abilities achieve well.”
Celebrated in the community for its familial school ethos, a sentiment that was echoed by the inspectors, noting “the strong family atmosphere in the school is shown by the mutual respect and warm relationship...evident in the classroom and boarding house.” The report also revealed that this “helps to enhance pupils’ self-understanding and enables them to be open in expressing their thoughts and feelings.” Overall, the “quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent.”
Headmistress Susan McLean said: “We pride ourselves on the academic and pastoral standards maintained at Kitebrook, especially giving thanks to the amazing staff for their impressive enthusiasm and unwavering dedication. Our focus is for each child to enjoy learning, make good progress, and embed the Growth Mindset skills that will enable them to successfully face future challenges."
